
Webb Named to Bevo Francis Top-100 Watch List

UPLAND, Ind. – Anton Webb was named to the 2024-2025 Bevo Francis Award Top-100 Watch List on Wednesday, joining Jason Hubbard (2022-2023) as the second Taylor player to make the prestigious watch list in its nine-year history.
Webb is playing his finest basketball of the season of late, having just been named the NAIA National Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Taylor's victories over No. 22 Indiana Wesleyan and Goshen. Webb posted 29.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game in those two wins, while shooting 64.7 percent from the floor.
The senior forward is in the midst of his finest collegiate campaign, averaging career-bests through TU's first 17 games with 16.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals per outing, along with a 55.1-percent clip from the field.
The Dayton, Ohio native is just 55 points shy of scoring 1,000 points in his three years with the Trojans and currently ranks No. 2 in the NAIA with 9.8 defensive rebounds per game and No. 6 with 12.1 total rebounds per outing. In addition to leading the Crossroads League in rebounding, Webb ranks No. 8 in the league with 16.8 points per contest.
The Bevo Francis Award showcases the finest small college men's basketball athletes from around the nation. Players are selected from NCAA Division II and III, as well as NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA institutions.
The Watch List spotlights 100 players in its first release each January, followed by a top-50 on February 15, a top-25 on March 15 and the finalists on April 5. The 2025 Bevo Francis Award winner will be announced on April 7.
Webb and Taylor (11-6, 4-3 CL) return to action at No. 18 Huntington (13-4, 3-4 CL) on Wednesday evening, with a 7:00 pm tip.
