
Conklin Leads Taylor of Day Two of Baker Invitational
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Taylor men's golf team posted a second-round score of 295 on Tuesday but still slipped two spots in the team standings to finish fourth-of-10 in the Baker Invitational.
Tanner Conklin was one of four Trojans to improve their score over Monday's opening round, backing up his 75 with a 72 on Tuesday to climb into a tie for sixth with a 36-hole total of 147.
Porter Dick and Will Schuitema both carded scores of 74 on Tuesday, with Dick moving up two spots to tie for 13th at 150 and Schuitema climbing five spots to tie with Matthew Albright for 16th at 151.
Ben Oakley also improved on his Monday tally, shaving five strokes off his score to post a 75 on Tuesday.
RV Taylor will return to action on March 21 and 22 to host the Purgatory Intercollegiate in Noblesville, Indiana.
