Thompson and Hanak Compete at National Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Jake Thompson and Ryan Hanak represented Taylor on the second day of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships, with Thompson competing in the long jump and Hanak racing in the 3,000-meters.
Thompson started things off for TU by posting his second-best mark of the season with a leap of 6.98 meters. That performance positioned Thompson at 13th in the finals.
Hanak was up next in the 3,000-meters, finishing in 29th overall with a time of 8:58.20.
Taylor's final event at Nationals will come on Saturday, with Josh Forbes and Isaac Brown competing in the pole vault. That event is set to begin at 2:15 pm (ET).
