
Burns and Hanak Race to All-American Honors in 3,000-Meters

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nathan Burns and Ryan Hanak finished fourth and fifth in the 3,000-meters for Taylor to cap the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships on Saturday. Burns and Hanak each earned All-American honors with their performance and picked up Taylor's nine points at the meet.
With the nine points, Taylor finished 33rd of the 64 teams to receive at least one point at the national meet.
Joel Mumaw opened the final day at Nationals for Taylor by taking 10th in the mile with a time of 4:15.82 and Josh Forbes followed with a 14th-place showing in the pole vault with a height of 4.75 meters.
That set the stage for Burns and Hanak in the 3,000-meters, and each runner posted their best marks of the season, with Burns crossing at 8:18.22 and Hanak finishing at 8:19.86.
Taylor will now take three weeks off to prepare for the outdoor season, with its first meet scheduled for March 21 at Indiana Wesleyan.
