
Trojans Start Indoor Campaign at Mastadon Open
FORT WAYNE – The Taylor men's indoor track and field team sent a limited number of athletes to Fort Wayne on Saturday to compete in the Mastadon Open hosted by Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Braden Bixler registered one of TU's top performances of the afternoon, posting a runner-up finish and a finals time of 7.04 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Bixler also posted a time of 51.92 in the 400.
Bradley Braxton also competed in the 60 and 400, ending with times of 7.35 and 51.40.
Spencer Stout impressed in his collegiate debut, taking second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.71 and third in the 200 at 23:30.
Two other top-three showings came from Jacob Parker and Bennett Hill, with Parker ending third with a time of 8.82 in the 60-meter hurdles and Hill taking third with a mark of 1:28.01 in the 600.
Taylor will jump into the bulk of its indoor season when it resumes competition on January 17 at the Indiana Tech Warrior Invite.
