
Trojans Finish Fourth at CL Indoor Championships

UPLAND, Ind. – The 2025 Crossroads League Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Taylor wrapped up on Saturday, with the Trojan's finishing in fourth place in the men's team standings.
TU's best event on Saturday came in the 3,000-meters, where Nathan Burns, Ryan Hanak and Luke Harber finished second, third and fifth to pile up 18 points. Burns and Hanak finished at 8:21.76 and 8:22.54 to beat the previous meet record and reach the NAIA A-standard, while Harber crossed with a B-standard time of 8:28.96.
Other top individual showings on the track for Taylor came in the mile and 200, as the Trojans scored multiple top finishers led by runner-up efforts in each. Joel Mumaw's second-place effort in the mile was followed by Jared Stayte in fourth and Jordan Burden in sixth. Mumaw and Stayte both hit the B-standard as TU picked up 16 points in the event. In the 200, Wade Jones crossed in second at 22.29, with Braden Bixler ending in fifth.
The 4x400-meter relay of Bradley Braxton, Bixler, Carter Newman and Aidan Guckenberger registered a fourth-place showing and Lyndon Miller highlighted TU's field events with a fifth-place in the high jump with a mark of 1.88 meters.
Taylor will now turn its attention to the 2025 NAIA National Championship in Gainesville, Florida on February 27 through March 1.
