
TU Men’s Lacrosse Receives Votes in NAIA Top-10 Poll
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor men's lacrosse team jumped into the national spotlight on Wednesday, garnering votes in the NAIA's second Top-10 Poll of the regular season.
The Trojans boast a 4-2 clip, with their two defeats coming to No. 2 Webber International and RV Benedictine. TU received four points in the poll for the 14th-highest total in the nation and was just 17 points from the program's first-ever Top-10 ranking.
Through the first six outings of the season, Taylor ranks No. 8 in the NAIA with just 8.8 goals allowed per contest and sits No. 14 with 11.5 goals scored per game.
Jackson Dale, Will Saxby and Henry Cooper pace the balanced attack, with all three ranking inside the NAIA's top-20 in goals scored, while Dale sits No. 18 in the NAIA with 24 total points.
On the defensive end, the tandem of Lucas Pacer and Casey Bane each rank No. 17 in the NAIA with 11 caused turnovers, while Ben Harrell is No. 7 with 66 saves, No. 9 with a 9.22 goals-against average and No. 11 with a 55.5 save percentage.
RV Taylor (4-2) will get a chance to measure itself with five-straight games against teams ranked or receiving votes in the national poll. That stretch begins at RV Mount Vernon Nazarene (7-0) on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 pm.
