SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Five goals in the opening 35 minutes was too much for Taylor (5-6-3, 1-4-2 CL) to overcome in a lopsided 6-0 loss on the road against RV Spring Arbor on Saturday night.
The Trojans fired the first two shots of the contest and forced a save, but the Cougars answered with the next eight shots and three goals to take a commanding lead before the 20th minute.
Elias Munoz fired high and then forced a save as TU tried to get back into the match, but Spring Arbor (9-6-1, 3-3-1 CL) scored twice more before halftime to squash any questions of a comeback.
Munoz forced a save in the final five minutes in search of a consolation goal, with Carlos Sanabria having another shot blocked before the final whistle ended the lopsided defeat.
Taylor finishes its regular-season road slate on Saturday, October 26th, with their fourth consecutive game against a squad ranked or receiving votes when the play No. 9 Bethel (10-4-2, 3-4-0 CL), with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 pm.
