
Men's Track and Field Competes at Indianapolis Challenge
INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor men's track and field team competed at the Indianapolis Challenge on Saturday.
The TU 4x800-meter relay team of Seth Harden, Alec DeVries, Shauntis Lewis, and Andrew Runion raced to a victory with a time of 8:29.37.
DeVries added a second place finish in the mile with a time of 4:28.47 while Runion placed 11th (4:38.65) and Seth Harden added a 17th place finish (4:47.31).
Heelak Lee managed a fourth place finish in the 60-meters with a time of 6.95. Lee added an 11th place finish in the 400-meters with a time of 53.20 while Darryl Robinson finished in tenth place with a time of 53.13.
Joey Ferguson added a tenth place finish in the 600-meters with a time of 1:26.57.
Hunter Smith clocked a victory in the 5,000-meters with a time of 16:09.97.
Adam Nichols notched a second place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters. Nichols added a seventh place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.42 meters while Ethan Kertai finished in fourth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.45 meters.
Lewis clocked a second place finish in the 800-meters with a time of 2:00.35 while Garrett Henderson added a 17th place finish with a time of 2:10.75.
Jonathan DeHaan notched a second place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 4.57 meters.
