
Twenty-Four Trojans Earn All-Crossroads League Distinction

UPLAND, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced all-league selections following the outdoor track and field championships with 13 Taylor women and 9 Taylor men earning All-Crossroads League honors.
The top three finishers in each event earned All-Crossroads League honors.
The Taylor women's track and field team accounted for nine individual event victories along with a win in the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x800-meter relay. Thirteen different Trojans earned All-Crossroads League honors in a total of fourteen different events. Plenseh-Tay Sakeuh alone picked up honors in five events, including first-place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles, long jump and 4x100-meter relay. She also finished second and third respectively in the 200 and 100-meter dashes. Other multi-event honorees included: Alex Berends who took home honors in the 1,500-meter, the 5,000-meter and the 4x800; Rachel Blagg who took home honors and first-place finishes in the 800-meter, 1,500-meter and 4x800; Sarah Harden who took home honors in the 5k and 10k; Brianna Jordahl who took home honors in the hammer and discus; Sarah Robinson who took home honors in the 100-meter hurdles and the 4x100-meter relay; and Miriam Wood who was a dual-event honoree with first-place finishes in both the 400-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay.
On the men's side, TU collected All-Crossroads League honors in seven events and were led by two-event honorees Caleb Anthony and Ben Byrd. Overall, the Trojans won five events, two of which belonged to Anthony in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.
Taylor's track and field coach, Ted Bowers, also was named the Crossroads League Outdoor Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year, which is the fifth time Bowers has collected the honor during his time at TU.
