MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The No. 12 Taylor women's golf team opened its spring season with three rounds of competition over two days at the Showdown at Legends in Myrtle Beach on February 27 and 28.
TU took the top-two spots on the individual leaderboard with Sabrina Langerak and Shayne Lim finishing first and second at plus-10 and plus-11 over the 72 holes.
Langerak did her damage by leading the field at plus-three on par-fours and topping the pack with 37 pars. Langerak fired the best round of the event in the opener, carding a 71 over the first 18 holes and never looking back to take her second win of the season.
Lim kept pace by shooting a tourney-best one-under on par-fives, recording 32 pars and six birdies. Lim surged over the final 18 holes of work, shooting a 72 in the final round for the second-best round of the event.
