
Gamble and Neideck Compete at Bryan Clay Invitational
AZUSA, Calif. – The Taylor women's track and field program continued its outdoor season, with a pair of athletes competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa California.
Ahna Neideck competed in the steeplechase on Thursday night, recording a season-best time of 10:43.83, which was two seconds shy of matching the Taylor program record she set a year ago. Neideck finished 30th out of 76 competitors from all levels of the NCAA. The senior was the lone runner from the NAIA to compete in the women's steeplechase and her time is third-fastest in the NAIA this year.
Mollie Gamble then took the track for the 10,000-meters on Friday morning. Gamble ran a time of 36:58.46, which hit the NAIA A Standard. The senior finished 32nd of 49 runners from all levels of the NCAA and NAIA competed.
The majority of the women's track team will start competition at the two-day We Fly Track and Field Challenge at Ball State, beginning on Friday, April 12.
