
Johnson and Ross Take All-American Honors

UPLAND, Ind. – Javan Johnson and Noah Ross received high accolades recently, as each were named NAIA All-Americans, in addition to being named NAIA PING All-Midwest Region standouts.
The duo helped Taylor to its highest national ranking in program history this season at No. 6, while winning seven-of-13 tournaments and taking 15th at the NAIA National Championships and runner-up at the Crossroads League Championships.
Johnson was TU's top finisher in seven of those 13 tournaments during the 2022-2023 campaign, playing all 31 rounds for the Trojans and leading the squad with 14 rounds of par-or-better and a scoring average of 73.1.
Johnson was named NAIA Second-Team All-American for his second All-American nod, after also earning the award in 2021.
Ross led Taylor is six-of-13 tournaments this season, also playing all 31 rounds and matching Johnson with a team-leading 14 rounds of par-or-better. Ross finished just back of Johnson for the team's top scoring average, ending at 73.3.
Ross was named NAIA Third-Team All-American, marking his second-straight All-American accolade.
Johnson and Ross join Alec Dutkowski (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) as the only players in the history of the men's golf program to earn multiple NAIA All-American honors and give TU men's golf a total of 11 All-American awards from six individuals.
In addition to being named NAIA All-Americans, Johnson and Ross were also named as 2023 NAIA PING All-Midwest Region performers by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
