
Johnson and Ross Named PING NAIA All-Americans
NORMAN, Okla. – Javan Johnson and Noah Ross continued to rake in the accolades after a phenomenal spring season. The duo were named NAIA PING All-Americans recently after previously being honored as NAIA All-Americans.
Johnson and Ross helped Taylor to its highest national ranking in program history this season at No. 6, while winning seven-of-13 tournaments and taking 15th at the NAIA National Championships and runner-up at the Crossroads League Championships.
Johnson was TU's top finisher in seven of those 13 tournaments during the 2022-2023 campaign, playing all 31 rounds for the Trojans and leading the squad with 14 rounds of par-or-better and a scoring average of 73.1. Johnson secured six individualist victories and twice carded a career-best 66 throughout the season.
Ross led Taylor in the other six tournaments this season, also playing all 31 rounds and matching Johnson with a team-leading 14 rounds of par-or-better. Ross finished just back of Johnson for the team's top scoring average, ending at 73.3. The senior had ten top-three finishes throughout the season, which led the team.
