Davis Leads No. 12 Trojans to Runner-Up Finish

MUNCIE, Ind. – Austin Davis carded a career-best second-round score of 68 and finished third overall at the Delaware Country Club Shootout to help No. 12 Taylor secure a second-place team finish at the 11-team event.

Taylor posted team scores of 285 and 289 to end at 574 and plus-14. TU's score was 13 strokes back of host IU-East for the top spot.

Davis posted rounds of 72 and 68 to finish at even-par 140 and in third place, while Kyle Kasitz also finished inside the top-five with scores of 70 and 72. TU's next two individuals came in 12th, with Adam Kasitz and Will Schuitema carding totals of 146.

No. 12 Taylor (21-4) will be back in action on September 29 and 30, when it plays in South Bend, Indiana at the Blackthorn Golf Club.
