
Trojans Battle to Third-Place Showing at Ackerman-Allen Shootout
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The spring season continued for the RV Taylor men's golf program on Monday with 36 holes at the Ackerman-Allen Shootout. TU turned in two of its best rounds of the season to finish in third in the 15-team field.
Taylor led the pack with an even-par 288 in the opening round, but slipped just two strokes off pace in the second round with a 296 to finish just back of Marian and Wheaton.
Adam Kasitz led the way for TU, firing a 71 to start the day and following with a 74 to end in ninth. Kyle Kasitz and Tanner Conklin matched scores by shooting 72 and 74 to tie for 14th and Austin Davis posted a 73 and a 74 to give Taylor four finishers inside the top-20.
Taylor's spring campaign will continue on Monday, April 22 at the Sagamore Invitational in Noblesville, Indiana.
