TU Men Set to Open Season Just Outside Top-25
KANSAS CITY – The Taylor men's golf program received votes in the NAIA Top-25 Preseason Poll, missing a return to the national rankings by one spot after collecting the 26th-highest point total in the poll.
Taylor collected 69 points in the preseason poll, matching Tennessee Wesleyan for the first spot outside of the Top-25 and trailing No. 25 Ave Maria by 28 points.
TU has finished first or second in the Crossroads League in each of the past eight seasons and has placed inside the top-25 teams at the NAIA Championships six times during that span.
The Trojans finished runner-up at the CL Championships last spring and are set to return a trio of All-Crossroads League performers from that lineup, with juniors Kyle Kasitz and Will Schuitema and sophomore Tanner Conklin highlighting a list of six total returners.
RV Taylor is set to open its five-event fall schedule on September 9 and 10 at the Players Club Invitational in Yorktown, Indiana.
