Trojans Take Second at Purgatory Intercollegiate

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The No. 20 Taylor women's golf team ended its two rounds at the Purgatory Intercollegiate in second place in the eight-team field.

The Trojans posted single-day scores of 327 and 322, ending at 649 and 18 shots back of No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan for the team title.

Shayne Lim continued her strong play, shooting rounds of 74 and 76 to end in second place and just two shots off the lead at 150.

Alyssa Schmidt also showed well, surging up the leaderboard with a 79 on Saturday to end in sixth, while Margarita Garrido and Ellie Karst finished in a tie for 10th.

No. 20 Taylor will continue its spring schedule on April 8 and 9 at the Dalton State Invitational in Cohutta, Georgia.
