
Taylor Takes Third at CL Women’s Golf Championships

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The second day of action at the 2024 Crossroads League Women's Golf Championships provided little change at the top of the team standings, as Taylor held steady over the third and final round to finish third.
TU's round of 306 on Tuesday moved the Trojans one stroke closer to No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan, but Taylor still finished 13 strokes back of IWU for second and 25 shots off pace of No. 9 Marian for the title.
Shayne Lim finished off her two days with a round of 76 to end at 227 overall and four shots off of the leader in fourth place.
Margarita Garrido ended five shots back of Lim and in a tie for seventh at 232. Garrido carded a round of 79 on Tuesday.
Ellie Beavins maintained her spot in 11th, shooting a 77 over the final 18, while Elizabeth Kemper ended in 19th. Ellie Karst turned in TU's best round on Tuesday by shooting a 74.
No. 21 Taylor will now wait to learn if it receives an at-large bid to the 2024 NAIA National Championships in Silvis, Illinois on May 14 through 17.
