JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League recently announced its 2023-2024 All-CL honors for women's golf, with Taylor's Shayne Lim, Margarita Garrido and Ellie Beavins all receiving recognition.
Lim continued her stellar play on the heels for being named the CL Player of the Year as a freshman. In her second season, Lim repeated as a First-Team All-CL recipient after leading the Trojans in 10-of-12 outings, finishing atop the leaderboard four times and topping the squad with a 75.8 scoring average through 27 rounds.
Garrido also earned her second All-CL nod in as many years with the TU program, earning First-Team attention after being named Honorable Mention as a freshman. Garrido ranked second, only to Lim, on the roster with a 78.7 scoring average through her 25 rounds and recorded four top-five showings.
Beavins played to Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League recognition for a third-straight year, after also logging four top-five finishes and ranking third in the Taylor lineup with an 80.7 scoring average over 25 rounds of play.
The trio of Lim, Garrido and Beavins helped Taylor to a third-place finish at the Crossroads League Championships and an 18th-place effort at the NAIA National Championships. Throughout the year, TU posted a head-to-head mark of 71-29-2, earned six tournament victories and finished first or second in eight of its 12 tournaments.
Taylor is set to bring back each of Lim, Garrido and Beavins among seven projected returners for the 2024-2025 season, with the Trojans seeking a seventh-straight finish inside the top-20 in the NAIA.
