Karst and Schmidt Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY – The Taylor women's golf team added two academic honors recently, with juniors Ellie Karst and Alyssa Schmidt being recognized as NAIA Scholar-Athletes for their work in the classroom.

Karst and Schmidt were among a list of 400 NAIA women's golf student-athletes to be named a Scholar-Athlete.

The award is given to student-athletes who maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, while having attended one full year at their current institution prior to the completed season.
