Clodgo Earns Crossroads League Offensive Weekly Honor
Crossroads Leage Release | TU Honors Page
AVON, Ohio – Sophomore Ali Clodgo picked up her first Crossroads League Offensive Player-of-the-Week award with the announcement on Monday, following a stellar week of action.
The forward caught fire in the second half against Asbury, finding the back of the net twice in TU's 4-0 shutout. In the following matchup at Lourdes, Clodgo notched the game-winning goal for her third score of the week.
Clodgo's three goals on the season have put her at the forefront of the NAIA, ranking seventh in the nation, while helping the Taylor offense rank 13th with eight goals on the year.
Clodgo and Julia Pomerenke of the TU volleyball squad were each honored by the Crossroads League this week to give Taylor its first two such awards this fall.
The Purple and Gold (2-0) are back in action on Tuesday, when they travel to No. 16 Northwestern Ohio (1-0) for a 4:00 pm match.
