GOSHEN, Ind. – The Trojans played to a 0-0 in their season finale on the road against Goshen (5-7-5, 0-6-3 CL) in a slow-paced affair on Wednesday night.
Brianna Rawlings collected seven saves as the Maple Leafs fired seven of their eight shots on target but could not get past the brick wall of Rawlings. The shutout was Rawlings' sixth of the season in her first as the starter in between the posts.
The Trojans were on the front foot in the first half, firing 12 shots and forcing four saves, but did not find the back of the net.
Morgan Fletemeyer and Moriah Dunham led the squad with four shots apiece, while Emma Carrell put a pair on target, which topped the team in the scoreless draw.
A more even second half played out with nobody scoring on 11 combined shots, which forced five saves after halftime.
RV Taylor (7-5-4, 4-3-2 CL) finished the regular season in a tie for fourth in the Crossroads League and goes on the road in the first round to play RV Grace (12-3-2, 4-3-2 CL) on Wednesday, November 6, with kick-off time TBA.
