JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its athletes of the week for Oct. 23-29, and forward Audrey Grimm earned the honor as the CL Offensive Player of the Week, her second such award of the season.
Grimm scored three goals and tallied one assist across two matches on the week, including her monster five-point performance in No. 25 Taylor's 6-2 win over Goshen on Saturday. The junior's two goals on Saturday brought her season-long total to eight, which puts her in a three-way tie atop the team lead along with senior Chloe Sena and freshman Leah McQuade. Those eight goals have the TU trio all tied for fourth in the CL in goals this season. The match versus the Maple Leafs also marked Grimm's second match with two goals scored in 2023.
Among all women's soccer players in the Crossroads League, Grimm ranks first in total shot attempts (61) and tied-ninth in points per game (1.19). The efforts of Grimm have helped the Trojan offense to the fourth most shots per game in the NAIA with 23.9 and the second most goals scored in the CL with 45.
The No. 25-ranked, third-seeded Trojans (10-3-4, 5-2-2 CL) host sixth-seeded Bethel (8-7-1, 4-5-0) Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in the CL Tournament Quarterfinals at Turner Stadium.
