TU Women’s Soccer Falls Shy of Top-25 in Final Poll
NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches Top-25 Rating - Final
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor women's soccer team (10-3-5, 5-2-2 CL) received the 26th-most points in the latest and final NAIA Coaches' Rating of 2023, which was released Wednesday, Nov. 8.
With TU's status back at RV, the 2023 Trojans spent the entire season at least receiving votes in the NAIA poll, including a two-week stint inside the official top-25 at the 25th spot to close its regular season.
RV Taylor currently sits at third in the NAIA in shots per game with 24.5 and inside the top 50 in both fewest goals allowed (16) and most goals scored (46).
The 10 wins amassed by TU marks seven consecutive full seasons (sans the shortened 2020-21 season) in which head coach Scott Stan's squads have reached a double-digit victory total. The 2023 season was also the 14th consecutive year the program has finished with an above-.500 record.
Taylor is expected to be right on the cusp of making the 2023 NAIA Tournament as an at-large team. The Trojans will learn whether their season will continue or not when the selection show is held on Monday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. The show can be viewed on the NAIA's YouTube channel.
