UPLAND, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, released its 2023-2024 Men's Basketball Academic All-District award-winners on Tuesday, honoring hundreds of student-athletes across the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels alongside representatives of the NAIA.
Jackson Ullom secured his first CSC Academic All-District honor with a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average in politics and law.
Ullom has cemented himself as a pivotal piece in the lineup for the Trojans in his sophomore campaign, appearing in every game and starting in 18 of the contests. The diminutive guard averaged 9.9 points and 2.7 assists per game while pacing Taylor with a 37.4 percent mark from beyond the arc. Ullom also tallied 1.1 steals per contest, while playing over 27 minutes a game.
CSC Academic All-District honorees are nominated by their respective institution's sports information department for athletes exceeding high standards both on the court and in the classroom.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must achieve sophomore status academically, maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher, and either play in a minimum of 90 percent, or start in 66 percent, of their team's games throughout the season.
A select number of CSC Academic All-District winners advance to the Academic All-America ballot for sports information directors to vote on, with men's basketball honorees being announced on April 17.
