RV Taylor on the Cusp of Top-25 Ranking in Latest Poll
NAIA Women's Soccer Top-25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor women's soccer team leapfrogged several teams in the fifth in-season NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday morning, Oct. 4. The poll has the Trojans garnering the 26th most points, leaving them as the first team outside the official top 25.
RV Taylor (7-1-3, 2-0-1 CL) sees the upward movement as it is in the midst of a six-game unbeaten streak. TU is coming off a 2-2 draw at then-No. 6 Marian (8-1-2, 1-1-1 CL) on Saturday, Sept. 30. Marian, who is joined by No. 2 Spring Arbor and No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan as representatives of the top-25 in the Crossroads League, moved back to No. 8 in the rankings.
The Trojans' depth has been on display all season, as 16 players have registered a point already. TU is led offensively by Chloe Sena with seven goals and Libby Thomas with four assists.
Taylor concludes a two-game road trip on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Mount Vernon Nazarene (5-4-2, 2-1 CL) at 7 p.m.
