2015 at Taylor: After battling injury early in the season, Engelkes appeared in 14 of TU’s 19 games, earning the start in 12 of them…The freshman finished with a 5-5-2 record while in net and racked up 62 saves on the season…Became the first player under head coach Scott Stan to earn National Player of the Week honors after being named the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 19-25)…Was also named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 19-25)…Posted four shutouts on the season, including one in the 1-0 win against No. 18 Mt. Vernon Nazarene, ending with seven saves…Allowed just one goal and had six saves in the 1-1 draw with No. 10 Grace.
