Direct Contact for Volleyball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's Basketball, Softball and Women's Outdoor Track

Jake Wallbaum joined the Taylor athletic staff in the spring of 2022. Wallbaum serves as the main contact for softball, volleyball, men's and women's cross country, women's outdoor track, and men’s basketball programs at Taylor University.

Wallbaum graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, Indiana, in the spring of 2015, completing a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education.

After graduating from IWU, Wallbaum moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he substitute taught for a year. Wallbaum moved to Upland, Indiana and began teaching seventh grade math at Eastern Middle School in the fall of 2016. Wallbaum announced for multiple athletic events and kept stats for the girls’ basketball team during his time at Eastern.

Wallbaum gained further experience serving at IWU in 2021-2022. Wallbaum wrote for the Bowling team and was the PA announcer for womens' basketball. 

Wallbaum and his wife, Britney, have a three-year-old son, Paxton, and one-year-old daughter, Stella.
