
Men's Soccer Nets Three CoSIDA Academic All-District Awards

UPLAND, Ind. – Paul Egenolf, Gabe Saliba and Drew Sezonov were recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District II First-Team for men's soccer.
The award is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements in the classroom, as well as on the field or court of play. In order to be eligible for the honor, an athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have reached sophomore status academically with one full year at the current institution of enrollment and must have participated in over half of the team's competitions during the current season.
Egenolf was selected to the Academic All-District II First-Team for the second-straight year. The Mooresville, Indiana native owns a 3.75 GPA as an accounting major and has registered a goal and an assist in his 26 career appearances as a defender for the Trojans.
Saliba was named to the Academic All-District II First-Team for the first time in his career, after earning Academic All-Crossroads Leage and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors each of the past two seasons. The senior midfielder owns a 3.85 GPA as a biochemistry major and finished his four-year career with 15 goals and four assists in 69 games.
Sezonov joined Saliba in earning Academic All-District II First-Team honors for the first time. The junior goalkeeper boasts a 3.84 GPA as a sport management major and set career-bests with a 1.13 goals-against average, 55 saves and four shutouts this fall.
Taylor's seven total first-team selections thus far in 2017-2018 are tied for the most in the nation among all institutions of any level.
Egenolf, Saliba and Sezonov will now be placed on the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America team, which will be announced on December 4.
