Kelly collected his second CSC Academic All-District award. Kelly continued to post a perfect 4.00 GPA in his biology health sciences studies. Kelly started 12 games for the Trojans at right back and provided valuable experience in the back line.
The older Yoder, Levi, received his first CSC award in his final season as a senior with a 3.54 GPA throughout his engineering courses. The senior was named All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention earlier this week and now earns his second award to cap a fantastic career with Taylor. The Delaware, Ohio native started 67 games and played in all 70 matches throughout his four years in Purple and Grey and provided one of his two career assists this season.
Glover earned the distinction for the first time, posting a 3.52 GPA throughout his mechanical engineering classes. The junior started 12 games along the back line and provided his first career assist during the year.
The younger Yoder, Matt, received his first CSC award with a sterling 4.00 GPA in his finance studies. Yoder was a focal point in the attacking third and scored four goals, which tied for the team lead. The sophomore has started 29 games and played in all 34 throughout his first two years at TU.
Rivera, a junior transfer, collected the award in his first season at TU, by bringing a perfect 4.00 GPA into his classes studying management. The Panama City, Panama native notched a goal in his first game as a Trojan and started all 16 matches in midfield in his debut season. Rivera added an assist in the penultimate match while firing four of six total shots on goal.
The CSC Academic All-District distinction is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements, both in the classroom and on the field. In order to receive the honor, an athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have achieved sophomore status academically with at least one full year at their current institution, and must have participated in over half of the team's competitions as a key contributor during the current season. Each University is limited to nominating six players for the award.
Student-athletes are nominated for the award by their institution's Sports Information Department and receive CSC Academic All-District honors if they meet the qualifications.
