Crossroads League Release | TU Honors
AVON, Ind. – With a 4-5 Crossroads League record, the TU Trojans land two players on the 2019 Crossroads League Men's Tennis All-League Team.
After not making an appearance on the all-league list a season ago, Taylor men's tennis reappears in 2019 with a pair of rookies making the cut. Playing in No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively, first-year players David Sandi and Chase Bremner earn all-league distinction alongside 13 other student-athletes from around the league.
Sandi, TU's mainstay in the No. 1 singles slot, finished the Crossroads League nine-game, round robin schedule with a 4-5 record. In doubles, Sandi teamed up with Salvador Lo Cascio to turn in a 7-2 record, playing in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles throughout the season.
Bremner spent the entirety of the league schedule playing No. 2 singles and posted a record of 5-4. He also was the Swiss Army Knife on the doubles court as he partnered up with four different teammates during the course of the fall.
Taylor men's tennis finished the fall season with an overall record of 7-5 and fell to Grace College in the league quarterfinals during postseason play. Their season will resume in the spring of 2020.
