Harris Claims Weekly Honor from MSFA
UPLAND, Ind. – The Mid-States Football Association announced its Mideast League Players of the Week on Monday, with TU's Jonathan Harris being named the MSFA Mideast League Special Teams Player of the Week.
Harris was honored following his performance in Taylor's action-packed, 41-37, setback at Lawrence Tech on November 4. Harris made a trio of game-altering plays on special teams, blocking a punt, returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown and adding a 27-yard return of a punt to fuel the Trojans.
The MSFA Mideast League Special Teams Player-of-the-Week honor is the first for Harris in his young career and is the third honor of the season for the TU football program.
Harris and the Trojans (2-8, 1-5 MSFA) will close their campaign with a home date against Saint Francis (5-4, 4-2 MSFA) on Saturday, November 11 at 1:00 pm. TU will celebrate its senior class with a brief on-field ceremony inside Turner Stadium starting at 12:40 pm.
