AUSTIN, Texas – For the second time in his final two collegiate seasons at Taylor, senior Stephen All of the men's tennis team garnered CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-American attention for his work on the court, as well as in the classroom.
All posted a cumulative 3.99 grade-point average in engineering during his time at Taylor and logged a season record of 5-5 during matches at No. 3 and No. 4 singles for the Trojans.
The CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America honor is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements in the classroom, as well as in their area of competition. In order to be eligible for the award, an athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher, have reached sophomore academic status and must have participated in over half of the team's competitions during the current season.
Student-athletes are nominated for the award by their institution's sports information department and are voted on by CoSIDA members from around the nation.
A total of 11 NAIA student-athletes earned CoSIDA Academic First-Team All-American recognition on the At-Large team, which consisted of athletes from the sports of tennis, volleyball, golf, swimming and wrestling.
All was the lone Crossroads League student-athlete to make the list and gives Taylor a fourth CoSIDA Academic All-American honor for the 2018-2019 year. All is the only player in the history of the TU men's tennis program to receive the honor, is the 81st CoSIDA Academic All-American for Taylor and the 42nd CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-American in school history.
