
Women’s Golf Wraps Play at Butler Invitational
INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor women's golf team took on a field of NCAA Division I and II squads on Monday and Tuesday, finishing 15th in the 17-team field over 54 holes of competition at the Butler Invitational.
The Trojans posted scores of 312, 311 and 312 in the three rounds at the Highland Golf Club, topping Northern Kentucky and Eastern Illinois and finishing just three shots back of Valparaiso.
Eleanor Schuitema led five Trojans in action by finishing in a tie for 40th among 106 competitors. Schuitema shot scores of 76 and 77 on Monday, before closing with a 71 on Tuesday.
Shayne Lim and Margarita Garrido followed in 63rd and 78th, with Lim surging with a final-round score of 75 and Garrido highlighting her event with a second-round score of 74.
No. 19 Taylor will close its fall season on October 14 and 15 at the Saints Classic Invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana.
