
Trojans Set to Face Lancers in League Quarterfinals

UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor women's tennis team heads into postseason play this week as the fifth seed in the 2018 Crossroads League Tournament. Taylor (9-4, 6-3) will square off against the fourth seed, Grace College (12-3, 6-3), on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
The Trojans finished the Crossroads League season in a three-way tie for third alongside Grace College and Huntington University. After a series of tiebreakers, HU was targeted as the tournament's third seed while Grace landed in fourth with TU playing as the fifth seed. In the regular-season matchup between Taylor and Grace, the Trojans fell 5-4 in a closely played match.
The winner of the Taylor/Grace battle will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, October 4th where they will meet the winner of the quarterfinal contest that features top-seeded Indiana Wesleyan and eighth-seeded Saint Francis.
Also vying for the tournament title are second and seventh-seeded Marian and Spring Arbor and third and sixth-seeded Huntington and Bethel.
