
Fletchall Collects Third Consecutive Academic All-District Nod

UPLAND, Ind. – For the third time in three seasons, Taylor University women's tennis standout Molly Fletchall has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District II NAIA Women's At-Large Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The Google Cloud Academic All-District Award is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements in the classroom as well as on the field or court of play. In order to be eligible for the honor, an athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have reached sophomore status academically, and have participated in over half of the team's competitions during the current season.
Student-athletes are nominated for the award by their institution's sports information director and voted on by CoSIDA members from around the nation.
Fletchall landed on the 11-member district team that is comprised of five tennis athletes, two lacrosse athletes, two golfers and two swimmers.
This marks the third consecutive all-district nod for Fletchall who was also honored at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season and the 2017-18 season. The senior owns a 3.92 grade-point average and is majoring in communications. The Carmel, Indiana, native tallied a season record of 13-5 playing number one singles for the Trojans while also going 9-11 in number one doubles play.
In addition to placing Fletchall on the CoSIDA Academic All-District NAIA Women's At-Large Team, Taylor also saw Josiah Peterson and Stephen All named to the men's at-large team to give the Trojans a total of 19 CoSIDA Academic All-District Awards during the 2018-2019 year.
Fletchall, Peterson and All will advance to the ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which will be announced on June 18th.
