
Gamble's 10,000-Meter Victory Highlights Friday's Action

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Taylor women's track and field program began competition at the Ball State Challenge on Friday afternoon, while Mollie Gamble ran at the Don Kleinow Invitational.
Gamble ran an impressive 39:00.03 time in the 10,000-meters to take first place in a race she had just found out she would run a day earlier.
Hallie Brenner tossed a career-best 42.98 meters in the hammer throw to finish 13th in a field of over forty throwers.
Karley Kabel led the Trojans in the discus with a throw of 36.12 meters to finish 15th out of 37 participants from over ten universities.
Four other Trojans threw in the meet, while Kenley Blake and Kali Siemers competed in the high jump, with Blake clearing 1.49 meters.
The Taylor track athletes are slated to compete on day two of the Ball State Challenge, set to commence Saturday, April 15, at 12:15 pm. Meanwhile, further field events are scheduled to unfold beginning at 9:00 am.
